On track to doing it right?

Just a quick question. I'm trying to get my head around the fact that 'exercise calories' are a thing, so please bare with me- I know y'all probably think I'm 'not eating enough' and stuff, I need time to mentally adjust!
I'm starting to do more regular exercise- swimming at least 3 times per week, 45-60 mins per session, and trying to do at least 25 minutes of other cardio on 'non swim' days, plus I'm trying to start a bit of a lifting routine and go for walks/jogs a couple times a week. HOWEVER, due to my fitness level, all of this is at a 'moderate' pace at best.
In light of this, I changed my activity level to 'lightly active'. I can now stop 'eating back my exercise calories', right? I think that whole idea was freaking me out!
