I hate keeping track of what I eat and most of all, I hate keeping track of how often I work out, but I am determined to lose these last 40 lbs. I’ve lost over 85 lbs already and have maintained my weight for the past 2 years. I’ve just been comfortable at my size. My goal is to get in shape and stay in shape. I’m not in the worse shape ever, but I defiantly have some work to do. My biggest problem is motivation to work out:sick: . I absolutely hate it. I need some encouragement from someone, anyone!

C'mon, you can do it! I know it is hard to get started. But you know what? Once you start, it feels good and then you want to keep going. When I first started couch25k in September, each day I wondered if I really felt like working out. I would just tell myself to go, if I wanted to stop, well it was better than nothing. I usually finished my entire planned workout. Tracking on MFP has helped even more. There are a lot of people on here willing to help and motivate. Work it, girl:)0

I've been using MFP for about a month now and it's helped me track everything so far. I had to get used to documenting everything but if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to see what I'm eating wrong, eating too much off, or if I'm eating too little. If we can't hold ourselves accountable no one will. I look at it like this, when an alcoholic is recovering, they count every day they are sober. They eliminate all alcohol from their homes and avoid bars. I'm discovering that food is not that much different. I have to ban certain foods in my house. I have to be aware what I'm ordering if I go out. And more importantly, I have to count all the days I've been doing good with this new lifestyle and be happy with that. I have a long road ahead of me, but you've done great so far and you only have a 'lil more to go. You can def do it!0

I've been on a LCHF lifestyle for a year now. My doctor who is denversdietdoctor.com Dr. Jeffrey Gerber, put me on this diet. Yes, it was and still is hard sometimes I'm not going to lie. But if you stick to this you'll not only feel better you'll look better. This is the best web site to keep track of your food intake. It's easy to use and it helps you make sure you eat enough of the right foods. I had my set backs this last year. After a move from one apartment to another from going up and down stairs, my other hip started giving me trouble and I had another hip replacement. Lucky for me my wonderful husband cooked for me low carb. So during that time I lost another 10 lbs. So half the year was upset by moving, waiting for the operation, and recovering. Since then in February we moved again back to California. So all I can do is go on from here. Yes I wish I had lost more weight in a year, but you know what I did lose weight and that's the most important thing to my story. After going through the change by 39 years old, gaining weight without knowing why, then trying every diet that was out there, excersize and walking by butt off and not losing any weight. This is the best news my doctor could of told me. I am Insulin Resistant. Carbs were keeping me fat. Finally someone had a name to why I couldn't lose weight. Now I have. I've lost 34 lbs so far. I know its going to take me longer because of this. So keep your chins up, eat heathly, because you can do it! "Nothing feels as good as thin feels". When I started on LCHF (low carb high fat) I went through my cabinets and removed all processed foods, anything with sugar, wheat and flour in it. That was the first step to this healthy lifestyle. With all the good info out there on low carbs, books by Dana Carpender 1001 Low carb receipes and her new one Fat Fast Cookbook. It makes life easier in the cooking department.
Sorry this is sooo long. First time writing and I really do need a support group. Thank you for all your input. :flowerforyou:0
