Heartburn

I am 23 years old and have recently changed my diet and exercise routines. For the past two weeks I have been getting bad heartburn in my chest and throat everyday. Sometimes it is even painful to shallow. I never had this problem before; I always thought I was too young to get chronic heartburn. I cannot buy over the counter meds because I moved out of the USA and do not have health insurance as of yet. Could this be caused by diet and exercise? Anyone else have this problem? What can I do to ease the pain?

That doesn't sound normal to me. :frown:
WebMD is always where I look for help if I can't go to the doctor. Hopefully someone has some good insight for you!0 -
In my mid-20s, I started getting heartburn when I never got it before. You can take Zantac once a day if it's persistent. I just take Tums when I need them. If neither of those help at all, I'd consider going to a clinic if you are able to.0
