Well. THAT was disheartening.

Honestly, I can't help but laugh. I just had saw a picture on the cutest little pin-up style shorts on my facebook. Since I have a little extra cash this month and am feeling pretty good about my current fitness situation I decided to go ahead and check out the price on 'em.
Now this particular store is known for carrying plus sized clothing. Totally awesome. These shorts, available in plus sized! RAD. The largest size they carry, XXL is 34 inches in the waist and 42 inches in the hips. Yeah, okay. I'm still too big to fit into your 'plus' sized clothing. Thanks for that.

Girl. That's what my dimensions were when I wore a size 12. That's not plus sized.

Don't feel too bad- sizing on the manufacturer's part is not a reflection of your body size or health. Check out how different sizing can really be:

Big whoop. Seriously, don't feel disheartened. If it makes you feel better I'm a size extra large in motorcycle pants. What does that matter really? You have enough confidence to put a bikini pic up, which is far more then what many others have. What does that manufacturers letter measurements measure? Anything of importance? You have something worth more and much sexier then that.

I'm just sad because I REALLY wanted those shorts.

Also that ANYONE considers those measurements to be "plus" I find horribly depressing. Let alone a store which actually caters to REAL plus sized women.
