Fruit..Argh!

I still have no idea how to count fruit in as calories. Bought a buy of grapes for my son and I but how do I log those. And what about strawberries? I haven't been loving my fruit cause I'm so frustrated

I dont have a scale I so I go by eyeballing and being as exact as I can by the size and description (i.e. small apple) or I log it be by piece - all berries, grapes, cherries - are really easy and several options on the food log will have a more detailed breakdown so you can log what you eat. For other fruits just use your best judgment if it was small/ medium/ large/ etc.

Food scale...Forgot all about those because I really wasn't interested in bothering with one, but now I think I'll invest in one. I have been just looking up different foods and using my best judgement but the grapes had me all confused today.

I love my food scale and use it for just about everything! I found mine at Ross for $10. Totally worth it.. :)

    scale is good advise,

However if you are like me and don't want to use the scale for every single piece of food then eye ball it as best you can. You can log per grape ( i.e. 1 Red, Green, Purple Seedless grape is 3.4 cals ), do same for most fruits.

I haven't had a problem finding fruits on the database when I search for them.... for example, the Red Seedless Grapes entry I found has the quantity for one serving defaulted to "1 cup or about 30 grapes", which works out correctly. I had a choice on the approximate size of my banana. Haven't searched strawberries yet, but take a look further on the database when you hit "add food" and search for what is already there for suggested serving sizes and nutrition, then adjust from there. I like that you can put in .5 for when you eat half of the suggested serving size, or 1.25 when you eat more..... nice feature!
