Exercising Alone and Resistance Band Exercises (HELP!!)

Options
So two things. First off.. Exercising alone. Does anyone else feel ridiculous? I think that is one of the main reasons I am not more active. Any way to get over this feeling? I try to do crunches or lunges and stop after a few cause I just feel silly. Guess it would be easier if I had a video to follow... Idk.

Second.. My guy had bought some resistance bands at goodwill a few weeks ago. I want to use them but have NO idea what kind of higs can be done with them. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

I love resistance bands... Do biceps, triceps, and chest. Maybe you could find an example on YouTube. Get a video so you won't feel strange just squatting out of nowhere. I like slim in six by beach body...it does all of that and uses resistance bands.

Unfortunately (should have mentioned this in op) i dont have unlimited data access. I live in the middle of nowhere and dont have internet out here except for my phone (3gb as of today cause I begged my guy for another gig so I could get more help off here) Youtube or internet videos in general would cost me a ton of money. Any videos on disc you would recommend?

I prefer to exercise alone, but that's probably because I'm so out of shape that I'm embarrassed to have anyone see working out.

But I do love my resistance bands!

They work a little differently than weights. Unlike weights, they are not a steady resistance all the way through an exercise. For example, the farther you stretch them, the heavier the resistance. For me, this is a good thing. My arms get tired easily, but I don't have to worry about dropping a heavy weight on my foot.

Here are some videos that I've found to be very helpful:

These show a bunch of different moves:

    Another guy:

And yet another guy. I like the music in these, but you might want to turn down the sound if everyone is asleep:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w55RbXz3taY

Whoops ... just saw that you don't have a lot of internet access. That makes things more difficult.

Here is a pdf file that you can save to your computer and then print out for future use.
It will at least get you started until you can get better Internet access.

I like doing rows with my resistance bands. Hope this helps!

Wrap the resistance band around a sturdy object in front of you (or use a door attachment) and stand or sit so that there's tension on the band and the bend is about chest-height.
Hold the handles in each hand, arms straight out in front with the palms facing each other.
Contract the back to pull the elbows in towards the torso in a rowing motion.
Keep the shoulders relaxed and down and only pull the elbows back to about torso level.
Return to start and repeat for 1-3 sets of 10-16 reps.
