Dull aches all down left side

So i've been doing the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution for the last month which has been great! Tough, but great.
Now started the second month but had a horrid cold so had to stop for a few days. Something strange has happened in the last couple of weeks though that when i sit down and curl my legs under myself, it's only minutes before i have to move them because my knee hurts so much, the underside. Then since then (last couple days) i've developed a really horrible dull ache at the back of my knee, down towards my ankle and sometimes into my shoulder, all on that side....
any thoughts?

I don't think that it's possible to make qualified diagnoses here.
You should go see a Doctor if it's not getting better anytime soon.0 -
No no of course. To be honest I just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar. I know i pulled a muscle in my shoulder over that first month, and i've a recovering sprain in my ankle, but it's odd that this ache has just started happening...0

Probably sore ligaments. Advil and ice.0

I guess that would make sense because of the injuries on that side... ice pack just gone into the freezer!
I never know whether to put hot or cold on to them or a bit of both?0 -
is that the same shoulder you previously injured? either way, see your gp asap. a simple tendon or ligament problem would mostly happen in a circumscribed area. this could be nothing, but there are more serious problems that can present as leg pain.0

Yep same side. I just spoke to my friend who's an osteopath and she suggested some hamstring stretches which have actually really really helped almost instantly. Guess i've just got to make sure i stretch on days i don't do the exercise as well to keep things fluid.0
