If I make these changes to MFP & FitBit, is it correct?

Hey all. Okay, so I think I have finally wrapped my head around this. One of the more frustrating things for me is I have a calorie deficit but it's not being reflected on my FitBit reports b/c they thing my intake should be so low. So if I do the following, will I accruately be capturing things?
- Change MFP and FitBit Calorie intake to my TDEE - 500
- Change FitBit Calorie burn to my TDEE + 500
- Turn off Calorie Estimation on both MFP and FitBit
By my calcuations this will give me an accurate recording on MFP (and do NOT eat back exercise since I used an external calculator) as well as accurate calories burned on FitBit which will give an accurate progress report with calorie deficit each week.
