Hey guys I just got my polar FT4 today and was using it during my workout.
For my workout I do a ZWOW 6 times a week but I do 50s work 10s rest for the exercises stated usually for 12 or 15mins.
So I was wondering when do I hit the stop button to estimate the calories burned for the workout.?
Do I stop the watch immediately once I stop or wait till my heart rate drops back to normal?
afterall the increase in heart rate is due to the workout so I think it's fair to wait til my hr drops back to normal before stopping the watch. What do you guys think? am i doing it wrongly?
Thanks alot in advance!

It's entirely up to you... Your body will continue to burn calories at an accelerated rate long after your workout. Personally I stop mine at the end of the workout following my stretch. At the end of the day they are just a guide so I would Not place to much importance on them.0

I think it's up to you. I'm guessing, since you are asking this question, you are feeling a little guilty about waiting until your heart rate drops back to normal. I do a 5 minute cool down after I work out then hit stop. I do the same cool down after a DVD that I do after running or anything else. Just my way. It's only going to make a couple calories difference while your heart rate comes down anyway.0
