HoMedics Scale for Mothers Day

Hi. My husband bought me a HoMedics SC-520 for Mother's Day. It measures body fat, body hydration, etc. However, I am thinking of returning it because I can't seem to get it to work. I was able to program all my info into "Memory 1". The instructions say to push the Up Down Arrow to get to your Memory Location, then press Mode and wait for a beep. Well, get to Memory 1, press Mode, and all it does is toggle to my height, age, etc, and then shut off. No beep. And if I try to step on, it just does the same thing. I don't get any error messages. It is very frustrating. Does anyone use this scale or a similar model?? Any feedback? Thanks!
