Tough without extra calories from exercise

I'm posting this just to whine to what I assume will be sympathetic ears. I've had a cold/flu this week and been sick enough to have forego exercise but well enough for work. The whole time I have struggled to stick within my 1400 calories per day. It has really brought home the point why I try and earn extra through exercise every day. Once I ran out of low cal but very satisfying tofu scramble it felt like there were no calories left for snacks. Spending 419 cals on breakfast is a little much without exercise at lunch....I know boo, hoo poor me. Thanks for listening/reading, I'm going to back to my soup. :-)
