Hey! I'm very new to this (joined only yesterday [April 10th, 2013]), and I find my 1200 calorie limit to be, well, limiting. Before using this site, I had always thought I was consuming approximately 1200-1300 a day. Boy, was I wrong! If I could have my way (and still lose weight...), I'd probably consume 300 to 400 more calories a day. And that's no good. I find it difficult to stay under or at 1200. Anyone else having this problem? I'm 5' 0", about 143 lbs... :noway: ... and 19 years of age, if that information helps. Any advice on how to successfully stay around my calorie limit would be much appreciated!

Eat more protein (about 100-143g per day) to feel more satiated.
Eat more non-starchy vegetables to fill up your plate and give you a greater amount of volume of food to eat.
Plan ahead, so you can maximize your calories.
Reduce concentrated sources of calories such as oils or sugary drinks.0
