2-3 mini workouts three times a week okay?

Hello!

For the past three months I've been going to the gym about 2-4 times a week. At first I tried to do long routines, about an hour and a half to two hours. But as the months go on, I've come to the realization that if a workout for me takes more than 30 to 45 minutes than I don't give it my all. I can however, do about two or three mini workouts on the days I do work out that last about 30 minutes each. I feel like I get more of a workout this way, but is it actually helpful the way I'm doing it, or should I just go back to my long routines?

If you don't give it your all, then you won't get much out of it. If you are pushing really hard in just 30 minutes, then you are probably going to be burning more calories that way than if you are doing a half a$$ed 90 minute workout. Plus, you will stick with it.

ALL of my workouts are under 60 minutes. I've lost a lot of weight and body fat with 45 minute workouts.

I personally think it is. I push as hard as I can in my short mini workouts. Usually around 20mins 2-3 times a day, 4-6 days a week. I have a 15month old so nap time and such is when I get to workout. Which doesn't give me a lot of time.

I agree with the previous poster - work hard for 3 times a week for 45 minutes or so...

My weight lifting routines tend to take me over an hour right now but mostly because they are all new routines so I am slowly learning new moves. I got great results when my last routine took 45 minutes 3 times a week.
