Sodium

I know sodium is bad in HUGE amounts and given my family history, I need to watch it.

I was curious as to what kind of foods are low in sodium. I could look it up myself but I don't have a whole lot of time right now, so if you happen to know anything please post!

Thanks!

stay away from processed foods or ready to eat. Subway is also high in sodium.

fruits and veggies, raw almonds, unsalted nuts of any type (raw is the best because the nutrion has not been cooked out of them using the oils),

No processed meats will be low sodium, meaning precooking frozen meals or deli meats, cheese is high, crackers pkg.'d foods like that can be pretty high but if you measure them out and moderate your portions you can be safe. They do have low sodium varieties but then you risk them adding more sugar in the products.

That is a hard one as so much that you think is healthy is high in sodium. Read packages. That is how I do it. I don't even look at calories first anymore. It is always sodium then calories

Another thing I do is dropped my sodium level on MFP down to 2000 so I don't ever go over not that. I don't worry too much about it but it's something that I do watch like everything else. Doing that has helped me keep under for sure.
