Lifting from home -what weights? (ladies)

Hi all

I am female 28 and currently a few pounds UNDERWEIGHT! (i'm very petite 5ft 1, 7stone) I am trying to put weight on by increasing my calories but I'm also wanting to build muscle!

I've heard lifting heavy is good for that but I have not got a clue where to start! Would have to be from home as I'm a single mam with a young child and my nearest gym is quite a distance away!

Please can someone help me and tell me what weights are best to start of with for a complete begginer? Any links of examples would be helpful! Also any workouts I could do from home!

Thanks

Also I'm from the UK

You dont need weights for weight training you can use your own body weight to get some great results

I like Chalean Extreme. I'm two thirds through the programme and my heaviest weights at the moment are 11kg - about 20 pounds.
