Sleep Deprivation.

Hi everyone ;)

I'm hoping I can get some ideas from you all about my issue with sleeping. I have no issues with stress or anything like that and I get tired normally around 8-9 pm. I have no problem falling asleep and can drift off in about 10 minutes usually. My problem is that I can't seem to STAY sleeping.

Within maybe 2 hours of me going to sleep I am waking up again. It doesn't matter when I go to bed.. I have tried earlier, later, naps, no naps, tea, warm milk, NyQuil, music, meditating, mj , sex and anything else I can think of apart from pills or drinking myself into a comma (neither one of those is an option) I do not generally eat before sleep but I have tried this as well with no success. I feel comfortable in bed, not hot/not cold, I don't need to pee. I also use ear plugs and a sleep mask to block sound and light (I can't sleep at ALL without those) For all intents and purposes I should have no issues and yet I wake up probably every hour, at least 15 times in the night, sometimes I can go back to sleep right away, most times I toss and turn for at least half an hour. If I can manage 4 hours of good sleep a night it's a miracle. Nothing seems to help me to STAY sleeping.

Funny thing is that when I was obese I had no problems! I could sleep all night and not wake up once. It's only in the last maybe 30 lbs that I have been having issues and I have no idea why. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you fix it?

I was going to say maybe your're perimenopausal but you are only 39, still a possibilty. I have the same problem and many more when it comes to sleeping. Mine are associated with menopause though, I'm 47 !! Maybe you need to see your doc and get some bloodwork done. Being a women it could be caused by many different things.
Best of luck to you girl,, we all need that beauty sleep!!
