I am trying to use TDEE - 25% to figure out how many calories I should net daily. I am using 25% because I have well over 100lb to lose. Since TDEE is calculated by your weight, as my weight goes down will my calorie allotment go down as well, right?

I've heard that a good recommendation is to recalculate your TDEE for every 5 pounds you lose.0

That is my understanding. I had read a long time ago, that to reach a certain weight below your current weight, you should consume the calorie allotment of THAT particular weight. Over time you would reach that weight goal. I don't know if that works, but it does make sense. It would probably take a long time to reach your goal weight doing that.
The reason they ask you your weight is to determine how much you burn. Of course, that is a general rule. It doesn't seem to take into account your fat vs muscle. Muscle at rest burns calories. Fat at rest? just rests.0 -
Correct, as you lose weight your tdee will go down.0
