do artificial sweeteners make you bloated? i have started eating sugarfree pudding, and i love it because it is low cal and a little something sweet. i also am i big fan of crystal light....maybe about 2 single serving pouches a day. is this too much fake sweetener? i have tried taking digestive enzymes, but that does not seem to cut down on my gassiness...any suggestions or advice is welcome.

thanks for your input!

happy monday

It is more likely an increase of fresh veggies that cause the gassiness, rather than the artificial sweetener, though it is best to limit those for other reasons.
I find an excess of lettuce, cucumber, broccoli, and stuff like that has me burping all the rest of the day. I used to drink about 2 liters of diet coke a day and I wasn't as gassy as I am now on NO diet soda and eating mostly fresh produce!

Crystal Light makes a new single serving packet that has no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives. It is called Pure Fitness. It's like a light Gatorade. I really like it!

    Good luck!

I'm not anti-sweeteners at all but I do find some of them (well maybe not them, but something in an artificially sweetened icecream that was obviously different to the low fat version of that brand) upset my stomach a bit, so it could be.

Yes, that stuff is really good. I like the taste much better. However, its more expensive (of course) & more calories.

I found that Truvia/Stevia does not agree with my digestive system...I do a small amount of Splenda per day (a packet in my coffee and sometimes a sugar free mousse or pudding) and it doesn't affect me negatively.
