protein bars

in general, i have a protein bar for breakfast with my coffee in the morning, but sometimes when i am not particularly hungry, or if i dont have any food in the house, i will replace lunch with one as well (ie kashi crunch, luna, thinkthin, southbeach etc...). is this bad? am i going to gain weight if i eat more than 1 protein bar a day? i tend to go over on my daily sugar allowance, but everything else is within spec.

also, whats your fave protein/snack bar?

    "Comfort Bars" are delicious, and the come in White Chocolate Chip and Italian Chocolate Almond. Also "Greens + High Protein" bars in Peanut Butter flavor are great, wild berry too, but they don't have as much protein and they tend to melt. Greens + are ulta special because they have spirulina and also green tea in them! =)

    Special k has lots of good ones low cal and not a lot of protein.

    As long as you stay within your calories every day or close to it then no, you won't gain weight by eating a protein bar every day in place of a meal. In fact, today it's a great sustitution for me for dinner since it's low calorie (lunch didn't leave me with much left) and the 30g of portein will fill me up and keep me full.

    My favs are the fiber one bars and the powerbar protein plus & harvest energy bars. I'm having the chocolate brownie for dessert - yum!!
