Eating after working out late

Hi all,

I always had this in the back of my head. I go to the gym with my buddy at 8:15 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday are my rest day. I do a little bit of cardio on Saturday or Sunday. The whole thing is I don't like the feeling of being full after eating dinner when I'm about to go to the gym. Is it okay to be eating after 9pm when I get home after a workout ? I've been cutting down on my bad carbs so I try to have a bigger breakfast and lunch so I don't have to eat a huge dinner. Normally I'll have a Gold Standard Whey shake with a slice of toasted whole wheat bread and a bit of peanut butter. Look forward to hearing from everyone!

As long as you're not going over your calorie intake (if you're trying to lose or maintain), there's nothing wrong with that.

I work out late too and tend to eat a high protein snack, almost right before I go to bed because it is so late when I get done. In my opinion, if it fits into my alloted calories for the day, it's fine. Usually I have whole grain sandwich flats w/ peanut butter or some tuna salad...nothing heavy, but I don't worry too much about it. Bottom line, if I'm hungry I'm going to eat

You're fine. I consume about 2,000 of my 2,900 calories post workout between 8:00-9:00 PM
