Always going over on protein..?

According to my coach/doctor/friends/everyone, I'm eating a good amount of protein. It would even be okay if I ate more. Yet myfitnesspal always tells me I'm going waaaay over my protein goal.

Explanations? I run 3-5 days a week, both distance and sprinting, and do a lot of bodyweight exercises when I can. I kind of suck at logging stuff (I'm working on that) but that's my basic workout. Why does myfitnesspal provide such a low protein goal, and is it bad in any way if I go over it? I'm not focusing on losing weight, I'm focusing on losing fat, so does that have to do with it?

I'm in the same boat. I just spoke with my friend who is a nutritionist and he told me that I should be aiming to eat 4-6 oz. of lean meat at every meal. Then after weight bearing exercise, I should be consuming protein for recovery. That's a lot more than myfitnesspal will tell you is okay. You need protein to build muscle. Keep doing what you're doing. Your muscle gain will help burn off fat faster than eating super low protein food will.
