Should I go to 3 days rest?

Been doing SS for 3 weeks now. With travel for work, I sometimes go 3 days between lifts. When I do that, I can lift more and maintain form better. I really like lifting, so I can't wait until the next lift, but I think my body is telling me to go to 3 days. I am running a pretty steep caloric deficit from my cutting effort (BMR=1840, TDEE=2,700, Target=2000). I don't do a lot of cardio on off days.

Thoughts?

not sure about the rest, there are ways to continue training on the road though.

I'm more concerned that the deficit is too dramatic when you're already in the healthy weight range.

I'm working my target calories up slowly. Was 1920, now 2000. After a week, I'll add another 100 calories. I'm at 17% BF, so I am healthy and I look good physically, but I would like to get to 14% BF and then get on with what I enjoy: lifting and adding muscle mass.

i say then go with it, listening to your body is best, if possible.
although i'm really new to heavy lifting so would be good to get other opinions.
I guess that means you're only lifting 2x a week, and not always on the same days.
