MFP, seriously you should consider recruiting better programmers!! I am a programmer and even though this is not my fault, I find this humiliating!! When parts of code start showing up on rendered output??? What the heck?? Don't you test your deployments/changes?? This is a fully functional production system for heavens sake, I know its just a calorie counting system, not a nuclear control software, but still !!!! I feeel soo baddddd...................................

There are so many places which need to be fixed too, considering the overall user experience, but this is really the DANG!

Awesome - yep - some pretty basic testing should have showed there might be an issue - at least it did not crash the site ;-)

Yep that would apply to me as well.

I really don't see what the problem is. But anyway I do know people will find any excuse to belittle a site that they use daily to help them.

I believe they are just crackin' fun. If they were really upset, there'd be more flailing of arms.

I find this far more amusing than alarming... I'm married to a computer geek, so I'm used to getting nerdy giggles like this!

I wouldn't even care about keeping ms kilojoule and calorie around if they actually did a little math so the users wouldn't have to sit down and calculate things.

If you have fat protein and carbs and fat+protein+carbs >>>>calories then why is that aloud to be entered, that's a simple javascript check for stupidity (see mary browns chicken fingers for details).

If you have tsp then you also have tablespoon and ml and cups and everything except grams, why are you making customers do so much math?

I don't understand why they don't just make the user pick 1 unit of measurement that exists and then calculate the others and have an extra representing 'package' or 'box' etc instead of seeing tbsp tablespoon TBSP and no conversions to teaspons etc which should be easy as pie to implement which would greatly benefit the customer base who are not good at math which seem to be allot.

The search feature could also be greatly improved. There could be better checks on things.

It is pretty poor design. I hope someone sees this and thinks about it lol.

I understand it's a free site, but a lot of users have also put work into creating the database the site uses. But I'm more speaking on behalf of the development world, that stuff is kind of embarrassing.

It's ok, I talked to the site and it told me it didn't feel belittled. I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out what is wrong with things and how to improve them. Particularly since I'm a developer and I would hope to God someone would tell me what's wrong. Plus, the point of the OP was for a giggle.

Is this the right place to complain about unrolling comments on your page only displaying the last two?

    No?

    Oh. Sorry. Wrong room.

    Carry on.
