I am a 32 years old female 5'10" 184 lbs with a small frame so my ideal weight is 129-156.
I want to first get rid of 30lbs through diet alone and I plan to do that as follows:
Mon: 1300cal
Tue: 1300cal
Wed: 1300cal
Thur: 1300cal
Fri: 1300cal
Sat: 2600cal
Sun: fast
That is a total of 9100cal for the week.
My theory is 1300 cal a day is healthy. giving my self a "cheat day" will help me stay motivated through the week, as well as give my metabolism a boost of calories so it doesn't shut off. The fast day does two things as well it frees up the "extra" cal consumed on my "cheat day" and it gives my system a day off to clean its self out.
I plan to keep this up for the first 30 of the 50 lbs I want to get rid of. After that I want to up the caloric intake and start weight training.in this second 20 my true goal is to loose 25 in fat but gain15-20 in muscle. This will leave me at 144-149.

^^ Not sure about this part. Our bodies are working to "clean themselves out" daily, especially if we are nourishing them properly.
Why not start weight training now, eat a healthy amount of calories above your BMR and about 20% off your TDEE, lose the fat while maintaining lean body mass, and enjoy an easier "calorie schedule"?0 -
Don't wait on the weight training. It is essential to your loss. Muscle burns fat fastest!0

Was going to recommend a zig zag calorie plan, too. I didn't have the cool online tool though ;-)0 -
I agree with cindyhoney2 and AmyRhubarb. Do not wait for weight training.
I am not sure about your "cheat" day. if you are doing an entier cheat day you may will only over eat. and bust your goal.
What works for me to stay motivated. is every other day i have 1 "cheat" item. So i avoid craving for it. tonight was 1 beer i choose my item accordingly with the calorie left in my journal.
one Fasting day may work for some but i heard it slow down your body. It may be a good idea to do more reacher.0 -
Thank you all for your input. It is nice to have people of like minded goals to bounce ideas off of. I will look at adjusting to more of a zig zag method. Thank you for the link. As far as the fasting day I think I am going to try it for a bit. From what I understand it forces your body to use up reserves in the kidneys and liver helping them cycle old glycerin and making the body restore it with new. If it doesn't work ill look at adjusting that as well.0
