Calorie-dense Foods!

On weekends, I usually have no problem reaching my 1500 calorie goal.
During the week when I have classes, reaching 1500 calories is an act of congress..
I eat a lot. I snack. I just got into the habit of selecting low-cal high volume meals so I get full, but don't get the calories I need.
I'm trying to get myself out of the mental rut of constantly selecting low calories. For the past two years, that's all I had the option of because I had the problem of snacking too much. Now that I've controlled my snacking, I need more calorie-dense foods.
I'll admit, Im terrified to go back to eating whole milk or cheeses because I feel like Im going to end up getting carried away with the foods I've given up long ago, over-shooting my calories, and thus gaining weight again.. But Im going to give it a try because I also don't want to get into the habit of over-eating and eating when Im not hungry just because I need to get the calories in.
So what are some of your favorite calorie-dense foods and how do you eat them? I already eat at least 2tbs of peanut butter a day, sometimes a handful of nuts, sometimes some olive oil, etc..

A pear is around 100 calories, almonds are 8 calories per nut, and avocados are certainly calorie-dense - you can put all these in a salad, or eat separately. One of my favorite desserts is avocado drizzled with honey.0
