Whats Wrong With my Stomach?

EDIT: I don't mean this post to sound snippy, but I think reading some of these ideas is just going to make you needlessly worried.
This ^^. For Heaven's sake, it could just be a bad case of gas that happens occasionally for no apparent reason. Your doctor can rule out the scary, but highly unlikely, possibilities, whether or not you find an exact cause.
that made me puke and have diarrhea? umm yeah sure O.o0 -
I have pretty much the same problem. I don't know what it is but, I have eliminated most the suggestions as the problem for various reasons, mainly cuz the symptoms don't match exactly for those problems and some of them untreated would make me much more miserable than I am. So, anyway I am getting a CT scan on Friday and I think they are going to find nothing. It's a difficult thing to work around even though the pain isn't terribly severe it's bad enough that I really don't want to do anything when it's going on especially since moving around aggravates it a whole lot. I have cut out dairy and made other changes to my diet over the last 18 months nothing seems to work terribly well, but the pain is less often with going mostly vegan. So, I think lactose intolerance was at least part of the problem.0

I think you need to go to the doc and insist that they figure out what is going on. If they can't, they need to send you to someone who can. I don't care if it happens once a week or once every two years, that is not normal. You think something is wrong, you are probably right. You know your body better than anybody does. Just keep demanding answers. Hell, channel me, I'm a b-itch from h-e-l-l where my health is concerned, and my doctors know it. I don't know is not an acceptable answer where my health is concerned, period. If you can't answer my questions, you better find someone who can. You can't give up, it's your health on the line, not mine and not the doc's, and they have to know that you aren't going to accept an answer of nothing is wrong, when something is wrong.
That's just my two cents for what it is worth. Good luck girlie, and God bless.0 -
just a thought that doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet, this may be totally off the mark, if so please disregard it
the nervous system and digestive system are closely linked... anxiety can be a cause of all kinds of stomach/gut problems, and they don't find a cause, because the cause is anxiety which you can't find on scans, x-rays, etc. So based on that, do these happen when you are under stress, pressure, feeling anxious or anything like that? The stress may not cause it immediately, i.e. not necessarily directly after a stressful event, it may be something that builds up when you're under a lot of stress/pressure generally and then the symptoms suddenly come on out of the blue when the body and mind has decided its had enough of the stress.0 -
I had something that sounds the same as a teen, I was rushed to hospital a few times, even had my appendix removed as they thought it could be that (it wasn't), turned out it was adult colic. Painful but harmless.

They tried me on pills for anxiety to see if this would curb whatever it is.. It didn't do anything really.0 -
I have been to the doctors, they have sent me to all sorts of other people and they can't find anything! I agree to the post about some of it being lactose intolerant as I have notice when I drink milk or eat ice cream it irritates me to were I have to use the bathroom and have very gassy response, so I will be changing from dairy to coconut milk as soy and almond irritate it some too. I just wish that it was 100% due to the lactose. I will try this a lot longer than the few weeks my doc had me do last time and go from there. I am doing my own research as well as going in every few months to have blood tests run. Only thing that is showing up is I am Anemic and Low Vitamin D Deficiency. SO my doc is doing EVERYTHING she can and I trust her, she is an awesome woman who got right into it more than the Emergency hospital did. So I am going to trust her and follow what she suggests, we have other hands in the pot as well. I mean I am not like TOTALLY worried as she said its not doing anything harmful to my body when its going on and when it stops but she said she will figure it out and will not stop till we do. I just figured ask to see if anyone else has had it, nothing being said is worrying me as half of it has been looked into from my doctor and crossed out.0

For 8 years I had stomach pain. I have 3 kids so I know what labor pains felt like and my pain felt like labor pains. Screaming, crying, trips to the ER. Been to so many specialist. Was diagnosed with ulcers. Medication not working, still having stomach pains. Diagnosed with acid reflux. Medication not working, still having stomach pains. Moved to Spain explained all this to my new Dr. He said "try eating gluten free" for 3 months. Really! What the heck is gluten free. So after research and many trials and errors I am now about 95% pain free. I get pain when I have been glutened but the pain is not that much. S all that pain because of food and I'm not bloated as much.0

I have stomach issues too, and have had many, many tests to figure out why...ultrasound,x-ray, cat scan, stomach scope, colonoscopy, etc. and the Dr. did find a little diverticulitis, and I was eating LOTS of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. for breakfast. So I cut those out...switched up my fruit to only include fruit without tiny seeds. Before I would have bouts of extreme nausea, throwing up, and diarrhea. I also discovered I can't eat sesame seeds, or peanuts with skins on. I have to watch out with tomatoes even, basically anything with small seeds. I even had a mild attack after having a tiny bit of grits. Guess my tummy didn't like the little grains, lol.
So, basically what you have to do is really watch when it happens and what you have eaten recently. Keep working with your Dr. It does sound a little like you may have lactose intolerance. Just really start taking note of what you've eaten when it happens.0
