Vacation Success Story

OK...so something amazing happened - I went to Hawaii for two weeks and didn't gain any weight. In actual fact I lost some. I had gone back up to 172 prior to leaving and then dropped back to 169 as of today. LOL. I realize that using this app has taught me so much about what I should avoid in quantity that I am ok when I am let loose on the world.
My happy list:
- I DID have dessert (Haggen Daz at least 4 times - or more)
- I did NOT eat the rice - I did eat the breads (and the butter) but shared it with others at the table
- I did NOT have any snacks
- I did enjoy the local WINE LIST (x2 every time we ate out when I felt like it - and sometimes when I didn't I had a diet cola...)
- I DID go to the gym and run three times each of the weeks we were away (in fact I believe I upped my milage while running at the beach)
- I DID FEEL GREAT IN A BATHING SUIT...who knew it could happen.
- I DID get a tan
- I liked what I looked like in photos taken at the beach
- I had fun, got relaxed and didn't have to obsess about food because "I've got this!"
Take heart - if you are struggling - you are getting it - even if it seems like you aren't at the moment, you are learning how to be a healthier version of you and how to make choices you can live with that will keep you on track. So go me, and go you!!

Congrats!
You're right, this app teaches you so much about portions - especially when it comes to alcohol.0
