Lost 0.5lb this week and am thrilled

So I Lost 0.5lb this week and am thrilled, why? ..... because I didn't feel like I was on a diet.

I am 5ft 3" with a tiny frame and am nearly 10st which is way too much for me. I was 8st up until I hit my 40s

Ive tried weight watchers and slimming world and although I found ww great and it does work, but I always knew that I was on a diet and felt deprived.

Now I am eating low carb. Tried to start atkins but wasn't doing it quite right, but low carb suits me.

I have been a sugar addict and am a binger.

The first 2 weeks of giving up sugar were hell! no point pretending. I felt awful, but iy has been so worth it. I am trying now to keep carbs under 50/day so far and will probably go as far as 100/day eventually.

I am still afraid to add in even the tiniest piece of choc/pudding etc as I will binge majorly if I even get the taste of sugar, so will stay away another while.

Anyway to have lost 0.5 lb this week without feeling deprived is brilliant. I feel I can do this longer and hopefully make it a lifestyle change. I would love to be 9st which is ~another 10 to loose.
This is still a stone above my lifetime 8st but I would be happy at that.

Half a pound a week is what I aim for - slowly and steadily with no hunger paints, no sense do deprivation. Keep up the good work.

    That's great!!! :)

I know it's better/healthier to lose weight slowly becaue it means it is more likely to keep it off for good.

Keep doing what you're doing because it's working! xx
