Lost weight by binging and not exercising?!?!?!

The last two weeks I haven't done any exercise and ate like a complete pig, daily binges eating chocolate. Went on the scales today expecting to have put on a lot of weight, I have actually lost 0.5 lb. No idea how that happened. Now I feel that exercising and dieting is a complete waist of time. When I was putting in the effort I was struggling to lose weight as quickly as I wanted which resulted in the lack of motivation and gave up. Not sure what to do from here.

Sometimes having a random spike in cals for a short period of time seems to create a loss. It could be you are eating too little most of the time, or it could be that you've been restricting cals for too long and your body needed the break.
I have had that happen to me a time or 2, it's great when it happens but too many of those days and it soon won't be going down it'll be going up!0
