A Question : )

Hi, just wondering if after a workout, should you feel sore? I mean to have a "good" workout is that how your supposed to feel? I do a full body about 3 times a week and I don't really feel sore. Only once a awhile I ever feel that way. I see pictures all over though: Feel sore today or sorry tomorrow..etc.

Should I up the intensity of my workout?

Any thoughts?

In the first few weeks of a new workout routine, you can expect to be sore. If that soreness persists and you are sore after every workout, you are pushing yourself too hard.

    Tired, yes. Sore, no.

The kind of "no pain, no gain" motivators are meant to inspire a mindset of pushing your limits, not injuring yourself.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll stick to my plan. I'm pretty happy what I'm doing now and I feel I'm pushing myself enough. I really don't want to hurt myself haha.
  • I'm usually sore the second day after pushing myself past the comfort zone or when I try something new. Try upping your weights or go a little farther on the elliptical or treadmill

I don't get DOMS anymore; unless I overdo my workout. So I agree with you sticking to it; just be sure to up the weights when you feel that the lifts get easier. That's when the gains come :)
