Is doing this 5 times a week okay for my body?

Hey guys,

I just had a question concerning exercise. For the last week, for 5 days worth, I've been walking about 4 miles each day (thanks to Google Maps, I figured out I walk about 4.5 miles an hour). Is this okay? Should I be giving my body more of a break or is this actually a good setup I have? Thanks!

Walking has like no recovery time. You can do it every day if you'd like.

I agree walking every day is just fine.

Yeah, unless you are power walking then walk as much as you want. I would gradually increase mileage, increasing too fast can cause injuries, but other than that. I walk 3 miles on top of what I run when I don't have to work.

Nothing wrong with walking everyday, just listen to your body it will be a good indicator when it is time for a rest day... Best of Luck

I agree with the "listen to your body" advice. My workouts are about an hour of cardio and I never miss a day unless I'm too sick (maybe happens once a year) or I've got a transatlantic plane flight (and even then I wander around the airport with my FitBit on and rack up 5 miles). And I'm 60. Unless I have aches and pains that get worse rather than better over time, I assume I'm not overdoing it.
