Confused...how do I join a group?

Hi all,

I'm new to this my fitness pal thing and I see all of your great groups and support to one another. How do I go about joining a group to participate, encourage, and support? I'm trying to lose weight and don't really have anyone to support me, so this seems like a great place! Any help on how to join a group would be great! Thank you!

    You just find on that you like, pop in and say hi and see if you can join. Or if there is something specific you can create your own group. I planned to do one when I was in the 2-teens trying to get out of the 200's but never did :laugh:

    yup, just pick a thread/topic and join in the discussion.

    What are you interested in? What is your situation?

    There is a group for stay at home moms, one for over 50 year olds, one for people doing the C25K program, the P90X program, etc...
    Just browse the threads until you find a discussion that you feel you could be a part of, and join in.

    I suggest C25K if you are new to the fitness thing. It eases you gradually into jogging using walk/jog intervals, and at the end of the 9 week program you should be able to run 5K.
