hunger PAIN during TOM

So I eat like 1200 to 1500 calories most of the time and I never feel especially hungry. However, during TOM (which doesnt come every single month thanks to the magic of BC pills) if I eat 1500 calories I end up with horrible crippling hunger pain. The kind of pain that has me instinctively swallowing air, and making my mouth literally foam. I havent had such bad hunger pain since I was a teen and so skinny my ribs showed and i was forced to skip lunch because i forgot money. I tried eating more fiber but it didnt help. Food goes, ahem, right through me during TOM. I cannot exercise during TOM because I faint all the time, and that makes treadmills dangerous. I cannot lift either because the fevers I get from TOM make me too weak to lift even normal stuff, like blankets. So basically im saying that im not burning enough extra calories to make the hunger pain make sense.
The only way to get rid of the pain seems to be exactly 2000 calories, and even then im still hungry all the time. But I will likely gain weight at 2k because I dont do much but sit around during TOM.

Suffering that right now. Ravenous and I just ate dinner 10 minutes ago. I usually lose my lose my appetite during Tom but since counting calories I've been starving. On normal weeks I get appropriately hungry, but never hunger pains like this. Same deal-food digested really quickly. Any chance some of those calories are not being absorbed and I can eat more? Is it somehow a body defense mechanism to make sure you get extra nutrients and avoid anemia?0

Sounds like you need to see a doctor about that. Also how much water do you drink? Do you take a multi-vitamin? I take an Iron supplement as well as Magnesium to keep my electrolytes up. My TOM is not as extreme as yours. I do not feel any more hungrier, I certainly don't develop a fever or foam at the mouth. Does your doctor know these extreme symptoms, and can you combat them?0

Have you talked to a doctor about this?0

I'll third seeing a doctor. Does your hunger last the whole time? Maybe you should view calories as a weekly thing. You may be over by a couple hundred calories for two days, but if you're under by a couple hundred calories the other five, you're going to continue to lose.
If it's volume you want, fill up on low-calorie vegetables.0 -

Fainting's no good, foaming at the mouth is something I've never experienced. Eat 2000 or more if you have to - one week isn't going to throw your loss. TOM actually burns calories, don't forget, because your body's doing extra stuff.0
