which should i take in calories burnt

I have just done 25 minutes on my ellipical trainer varying the speed. (the best i have done so far) my trainer says i have burnt 178calories. When i put it in to the MFP for that time it says 386 burnt. Should i take what my trainer says or MFP. I am new to exercise and want to get it right. Thank you for any help and advice.
