Need Help!

Trying to find a good goal weight. I want to be at my goal weight at night, after dinner and fully dressed. None of this naked after bathroom in the morning business. So i need to weigh about 10- 12 pounds less than my goal to account for food and clothes. Anybody else use this method? My goal is / was 157 but now i think it needs to be 145? Anyone with positive thoughts?

I positively think you should get a bathroom scale so you can weigh yourself naked and get an actual weight. If that's impossible, it's more common to subtract 3-4 pounds for clothes, not 10-12. Time of day doesn't matter if you're consistent.

Why would you possibly care what your clothes weigh?

I don't account for my clothes, or my shoes! Someday, if I am close to my goal, I will weigh my clothes (try to wear the same sort of clothing) and my shoes, then subtract that amount from the total. And so, if you are counting your clothes and your evening meal, would you not want to ADD a few pounds to your goal weight? Because if your goal weight is what you are without those things, and your goal is 157, then your new goal should be 157 + clothes/food so you don't have to subtract them.

Wearing your leathers and crash helmet too? If you don't have a defined 6-/8-pack (amend per genetics, assuming those muscles are already there but hidden) you may be able to shed some more body fat. When I'm that close to goal, though, my goal weight will be determined more on BF% than a number I want to see on the scales.
