I'm having trouble getting the weights to be the weight that i'm scheduled to do, if it's only a difference of a lb or 2
is ok if i'm just lifting the bar? (5) or (15) pounds
My workouts are on my log. today was light, friday was med, and wed was heavy.

so if it doesn't make a difference at this level, when does it matter?0

is this a silly question?0

To be honest, you can choose to workout with light weights and high reps (till real failure) or like most people where you do moderate to heavy weights with rep ranging between 6-12 reps...
Stick to it and you'll gain muscle0 -
I'm referring to a heavy lifting program, and on that day i'm supposed to lift 1/4 of my working set weights for the heavy day,
on the light day. so 57 for split squats on heavy day
is only 14 on the light day.
so for something like barbell curls. I'm lifting 33x8 on heavy day, 8.25 on light day,
but my weights will only do 5, (just the bar) 7=the bar and 2 clamps, my smallest plates are 2.50 -
What program are you doing?
You can adjust the "accessory" sets to a higher weight with lower reps.
I do something similar during 5/3/1, finish my working sets then I deload to 60% of my 1RM and do 8x3 but you could do 5x5 at 50% or some other variation. You want them to be higher rep sets or sets with little rest in between and with explosive movement since the weight is lighter.0 -

the first week in the cycle is all sets of 8 reps, each week add 1 rep.
there are very few accessory lifts, I did add seated calf raises
the rest is as close as I can to the program, for now
he explains this, it's supposed to be easy in the begining, to learn form
and that's fine with me, i just don't want to be trying to make sure it's the right weight
if it's not really going to matter, since the weight is so low0 -
Oh just round to the nearest 5 or 10, it won't make too much difference. My 5/3/1 spreadsheet spits out all sorts of weird numbers that aren't plate friendly. I just round them.
Edited: Finally wrapped my head around that program. Derp. haha.0 -
