Most effective way to disperse your calories?

With a combo of porridge, fruits, nuts, veg, tuna and chicken I have been having it has been going ok..

But I was wondering. How should 1800 calories a day (my target for 2lbs weight loss a week) be split up.

For example:

Should I be eating say 500 calories for breakfast and then 1000 calories through the day only a small 300 calorie dinner?

Or maybe only 300 calorie breakifast and 500 calorie through the day and a 1000 calorie dinner?

I hope it makes sense what I am asking guys :) what are your thoughts?

Whatever is sustainable for you. I prefer to not eat much in the morning and gradually increase the calories in each meal as I get towards evening - so dinner/supper tends to be my biggest meal, but there's no rule that says it has to be that way. In many (healthy) cultures, the main meal is around noon time and the evening meal is relatively light.. I think from a "comfort" standpoint, more or less evenly dividing the calories up through the day is a good place to start and then you can do some "fine tuning", according to what works best for you. Like if you exercise hard in the evening, it's probably not ideal to have a big meal right before that. I think it's also a good idea to make sure each meal has a little of "everything" - some protein, some fat and some carbs.

I guess it really depends on when your activity level and the way you feel. I know some people able to eat a huge breakfast and a small dinner and others doing the exact opposite. I tend to balance it out - 300 calories in the morning, 300 calories at night.
I guess you could go with something like that :) :
    - Breakfast - 400cals
    - Lunch - 550 calories
    - Dinner - 450 calories
    - Snacks throughout the day - 400 calories in total

Adjust depending on your needs! If you're ravenous when you're waking up, eat! If you aren't, take advantage of it, and eat more later on! I'd say, prefer larger meals during the first part of the day, they'll give you energy throughout the day, while you need less of it at night (except if you have a night shift).

    Good luck :)
