Help with my routine

So I am wondering what others may recommend to help aide with my weight loss. I am still pretty over weight.
Currently I am going to a cardio/resistance class 3 days a week for 1 hour per day.
Mondays- arms & cardio Wed- Full body Fri- Legs & cardio
I also try to walk a few miles a few times a week. I have a gym membership but not really sure what I should be doing. The personal trainer is pretty pricey.
Can I do abs daily? Can I be toning daily? Is it necessary to tone at this time? I still have anymore from 80-100 lbs to lose.
Just not completely sure of what I should be doing. I am trying to get this all figured out TIA!

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss! I applaud you for trying to be responsible with your fitness plan. Cardio is what will help you burn the fat, and it seems you're doing something almost every day that gets your heart pumping. Lifting weights and resistance training will help you build muscle - and muscle burns more calories than fat. You may want to invest in a single session with a personal trainer so that you can learn the correct way to use the machines and what the appropriate resistance levels are for you. But I caution you to be careful when choosing a personal trainer. Some are wonderful, but I learned the hard way that some work primarily with folks who are already in shape and want to be super-fit. I used one of these "superstar" trainers and ended up injuring myself. Limping and barely able to put any weight on one leg for two weeks was incredibly counter-productive to my workouts, and just a plain nuisance..
Keep on plugging and you'll get there.0 -
Often times a personal trainer will provide you with a free consult (free first session) or a discount on a three-session package. That might be helpful for the reasons Sharyhk provided.
Good luck and wish you continued success!0 -
I love cardio but the best way to weight loss and toning is strength training.
What kind of strength training does your gym have.. Body Pump or something similar.
Cardio you can do almost everyday but you should do strength 3 days a week. .You can look at my diary
to see what I do and its really worked.
I do not know if you can do push ups but if you can then do lots of them and if you can not learn how to.0
