Log everything you eat...every morsel. Accurately log your caloric expenditure (don't trust the machine readouts). Keep with the program for 4 weeks...stay off the scale during this time...drink water...you will lose weight.0

Also, eat your full 1200 calorie allotment every day and at least half your exercise calories (preferably all if you can accurately calculate caloric expenditure). Looking at your diary on several days you have eaten too few calories. Although the concept of accelerating weight loss by reducing caloric intake is appealing, it will likely backfire on you. A lot of people get in trouble eating too few calories and quickly stall out...that hasn't happened to you yet, but you really want to avoid that problem...
You will find this process will have it's ups and downs. Don't get discouraged...patience is your friend. Take some measurements now, before you start, so when the scale won't move you will see the change in the tape measure. Also, take some pictures now and then monthly going forward. Provides great self motivation and also gives you something to post in 6 or 8 months to provide encouragement to others.0 -
thank you for the help! its been helpful to track everything i eat im trying to make sure i reach the goal but that has been hard too. hopefully i will see better results in a few weeks0

That isn't 4 lbs of fat...that would take an enormous amount of calories, but you should log everything. I noticed I nibbled a lot during the day and sometimes stopped when I realized I didn't want to log a second cookie or piece of bread.
I gained 2 lbs after losing 3 my first weeks, but a few days later, it dropped again. I agree about the measurement and just how your clothes feel. Sometimes your muscles swell though in the beginning and muscle does weigh more, go on how you look and stick with it.
I was a firm 135, running marathon years ago and also was 140 another time in my life and was soft and overweight (a size or more larger) after a baby...you can be the same weight and look very different, depending on what is making the pounds. Try not to lock too much into that.
Good luck with the twins, I had 3 kids and twin girls too....that is a workout in itself. ; )0 -

Hi there welcome to MFP. This is really and awesome site. What you might want to do is make sure your eating enough to burn. That was my main problem. I was not eating enough. So make sure you are logging everything and make sure you drink enough water too. But most of all stay with it. Don't give up keep trying. :bigsmile:0 -
im not ready to give up yet most people in my family struggle with weight loss but i really just want to feel healthy more than anything else. I have been logging everything i eat even the sugar and honey i put in a cup of tea! hopefully with the weather change i will be able to get out more and get some more workout time in0

Try taking all your measurements too and keep an eye on those instead of relying solely on the scale.0
