Hi, I've been talking about losing weight for a long time now. Over the past 6 years, I've put on 5lbs a year. Now I'm older and heavier and ready to do somehting about it.

Good for you! Soon you could be saying "i've lost 5 pounds a month for the past six months" this site really does make it easy, it's like figuring out the answer to a riddle that's been stumping you for so long. I think the best tips for success here are to be faithful and honest with your calorie journal, don't drink calories, do drink lot's of water, make excersise a habit, and don't quit.
