But certainly not my first rodeo. I lost 35 pounds about 5 years ago by just cutting out junk food, sodas, and not eating anything past 7 PM. I also picked up running and started taking thyroid replacement for my hypothyroidism, which helped my metabolism. But I got lazy, and gained 10 of those pounds back.

I've decided to finally lose the rest of the weight for good, and keep it off. I'm sick of feeling insecure because of the extra weight, and struggling to find clothes that fit right. I don't look like I weigh as much as I do, but I certainly feel every pound of it.

I currently weigh 175 pounds. I'm 5'4" and wear a size 13 jeans. My goal weight is 130 pounds. Today is officially day one for me, and I could not be anymore ready for the journey ahead.

Anybody else here also in the process of losing 30-45 pounds?

I am currently 176 and my goal is 140-145, I have just begun my journey as well. I am well past ready! Got to get it done now! Feel free to add me! I am working on this with "CannibalisticVegetarian", so I am not alone. She helped me get started and encourages me. I hope I can help encourage you too! We will knock this out!!

    Hi Dedicated2014,

I am also in the same boat as you. I lost 60lbs about 5 yrs ago and gained it all back. I am trying to lose at least those 60 lbs and hopefully more. I was 269lbs at my heaviest, but when I joined this group I had already lost a little. I am now down to approx. 245lbs now and would like to be down by another 15lbs by the end of June. I know that you will be able to do it. You did it once before, just stay strong and keep your willpower! Good luck. Hope you keep in touch, I would love to see you reach your goal!!

    Take Care,

Count me in as needing to lose 30-35 pounds.

When I started reading your post all I could think was, "this could be me writing." In 2007 I lost @25 pounds though portion control, no soda, little to no junk food, and dancing in the kitchen to my iPod. Since then, I've managed to gain that back and nearly a dozen more as well.

I too, was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in '07, which helped me lose the weight.

When I tell people how much I weigh, they all say things like, "You don't look like you'd weigh that much," or "no way, you're scales must be off." But It's true, I really do weigh that much and I really feel it!

So I know how you feel. But, we've already made a change just by joining MFP and stepping out to support others and get support in return, right?

Good luck to you. And if you need someone to help with moral support, feel free to friend me.
