Almond milk expiration?

So I bought a container of Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla almond milk about 2 weeks ago. I just noticed that youre supposed to use 7-10 days within opening. Would the milk going abd be obvious by smelling it like regular milk? Or does it usually last a little longer..

I've found it lasts much longer than stated. I've had an open one in the fridge using it for more than a month. It does smell bad when its bad.
