I've been not able to sleep because of hunger pains in the middle of the night. Whats up with that?
Its new, since I started working out more. I'm definitely eating the calories I have.

Any suggestions on snacks prior to sleeping or something in the middle of the night (other then apples, oranges or bananas)

  • I actually love being hungry in middle of night. I shows that I followed my plan the day before and since it is usually 10-12 hours between dinner and b'fast and even though you are doing nothing, your body still needs fuel so... this is a good thing. Look forward to feeling this!!!

On the rare occasion I wake up in the middle of the night hungry I can never be bothered to get out of my warm bed  .

Those Kellogg type bars could be handy, you can keep them close by and you won't have to prep food half awake.

If you're eating properly during the day you shouldn't be waking up hungry in the night. Plan a small protein snack before bed and keep a big glass of water by your bedside. It may be more of a learned behaviour than actual hunger.

Bring processed food to a minimum, and your hunger goes away between meals and before bed.
