My doctor said she would like me to eat 5 small meals a day and eat no more than 125 grams of carbs and 50-60 grams of protein (trying to eat more carb/protein equal meals). So far I have managed to do two weeks of egg whites and greek yogurt, almonds, english muffin and peanut butter, string cheese, and salmon. I am looking for more ideas before I burn out on these current choices. I appreciate any ideas or if you do a food plan similiar to the equal carbs and protein I would love to hear how it is working.......Thank you.

I am also trying to do the same thing. I try to do a lot of fruit as carbs and probably my favorite protien is low fat cheese sticks. I really enjoy the greek yogurt with blueberries and drizzle with a bit of honey.

I agree this is also very hard to do, and I am searching for more choices as well! I'll keep you posted if I find any good ones!

Chicken, and other lean meats. I also like turkey pepperettes as a grab and go. There is a brand of "high" protein pitas out there. 10 grams of protein, and 30 grams of carbs I think.

Are you looking for ways to reduce your carbs and up your protein? If so, smaller carb portion sizes, larger protein portion sizes. Try to stay away from pre-packaged foods. They tend to have a lot of sugar, which ups the carbs more than if you were to make it at home with the same basic ingredients.
