So I have definantly learned to eat back my exercise calories I have learned that I lose more weight that way

But today I have over 1100 calories extra from working out and I already ate breakfast which I normally skip to make up for some calories but even after I figured in dinner I am still left with 983 calories .....

I can't even think about trying to eat more - I might be able to squeeze in another 300 calories or so ....

You don't have to eat back every last one, every single time. You just have to generally eat them back.

How are you calculating calories burned during exercise?

What are you doing that you are burning that many calories? If it's an isolated event, I wouldn't worry too much about it...if it becomes routine then you need to either learn to eat or cut back on your training. Really, there is little reason to train like that without some very specific fitness goals that would necessitate that kind of training on any routine basis....like basically you're a competitive athlete. When you train like an athlete you have to eat like one too.

Save them for later in the week when you're feeling extra ravenous or for the weekend. I think it's fine to not make them up right away, but if you've noticed it helps try to do it eventually.

Amen. If you aren't, then don't sweat it.

Then your calories burned is just an estimate, and probably on the high side too. Just eat most of them back, don't push yourself if you are really not hungry.

We get overweight from eating far far too much to begin with, so obviously you know that you can eat that much(and way more)

Now that you are working out an hour of heavy cardio eating at least 3 really solid meals should be no issue whatsoever

    Good advice ^^^

I had a huge calorie burn yesterday cycling and ate most of my calories back but stopped at the point where I thought I was stuffing junk food in my cake-hole just for the sake of the numbers.

(By the way - I would take MFP burn estimates with a pinch of salt.....)

I think that is overestimated calorie burn personally. The burns in the data base are not really very accurate in my experience. You're better off getting a decent HRM like a Polar Ft4 or Ft7 and eating back around 70-75% of your calories burned for aerobic activity. Strength training is a whole other animal.

Well normally I don't do a hour on the eliptical
Today is different as I am going to the gym twice
I usually one go once during the day but I am gonna start going in the mornings when my husband goes on his days to work so that he has company and encouragement to get up and go

I figure even if i went off the other website its only off about 200-300 calories
So I guess what I will just do is squeeze in a snack or desert and just call it a day
