You know how when you cook spinach is wilts down a lot. Well, I am just wondering when I measure a cup of spinach can I still count it as a cup even though it has wilted, or is a cup of cooked spinach different than raw?

At 7 calories a cup, it hardly matters. It's 7 calories a cup uncooked though.

I love my spinach! I would weigh it out cooked. When it's raw it will look like so much, but once it's cooked it will look like hardly anything at all :)

    Hope this helps.

    Wilted Spinach Salad

Fry up a couple strips of bacon, pull from pan.
Add couple tbsp of Red Wine vinegar and sweetener (splenda, sugar, honey, your choice)
    Add sliced red onion.
    Sautee until onion becomes cooked
    Turn off heat
    Add spinach and toss.

    Serve

Not your question, but don't reheat spinach after it sat a couple of hours, as the heat will transform nitrates into their unhealthy version (searching the web should give you the accurate info on this).
