Ok so I am good at the cardio, not so good at the weight training. What really are the benefits and difference from the two?? Anything you really noticed that changed by weight training??

If you do only cardio, your loss will come from muscle as well as fat. Weight training can help you retain muscle while losing fat. The look, once the fat is lost, is better, to most people, when as much muscle/LBM has been retained while losing. Learn the big, basic lifts, squat, dead lift, bench, overhead press and bent over row. Get your form down, then start loading up that bar. Do a warm-up set, then 2-3 working sets. Once you can get 10 reps for 2-3, ups the weights. You can eventually get to doing a weight that fatigues you in 5-8 reps as well. Do this 2-3 times a week. You'll love how you feel and look!0

Its the difference between the "skinny fat" look, someone who only does cardio and is therefore weak
and the "fit" look, someone who does both cardio and lifting and is therefore capable.0 -
These replies are spot on. Cadio = looking good in clothes. Lifting = looking good in Naked. Cardio will make you a smaller version of your current self while lifting weights can completely reshape your body. I love lifting and how it has changed my body. Basic full body lifts are the way to go. Squats, Dead Lifts, Lunges, Bench Press, Overhead Press, and Barbell Glute Bridges are the way to go. I do 30 minutes of cardio 3 days a week and lift heavy 3 days a week.
Any excercise is good excercise, but if you are wanted to reshape your body, you must lift weights. It works and if you progress your weights often, it works quickly.
