food allergies that cause muscle and joint pain

I had one week of dairy, caffeine, wheat, alcohol free. Everything was fresh and non processed. I felt great and didn't suffer from the joint and muscle pain that have been plaguing me for about 3 years since my daughter was born. The doctor couldn't find any inflammation by checking my blood ect It was a viscous cycle. too tired and in pain to exercise. poor sleep because of pain, depression because of the pain and no light at the end of the tunnel and then I would eat bad, carb and fat laden food to give me energy and make me feel better...which in turn made me feel rubbish! Dont get me wrong, I'm no layabout...I just carried on through the pain mostly but feel like its getting worse and my body is giving up. I'm a working mum of two children and am 5ft 9 and 206
. I'm wondering if anyone else has had their joint/muscle/arthritis pain improved with a removal of certain foods?
Thanks for your help in advance

I can't say pain, but as i remove the "fried food" oils and replace it with "clean" i find my roceasia is much better. I also know now though that blueberries seem to triger it as well as peppers (only the yellow for some reason though)....anything that helps with circulation seems to make me worse with roceasia so it is give and take as i find out which "CLEAN" foods tigger it.
Were you ever tested for fibromalsia?0 -
Has you Doc run blood tests for Coeliacs - which is an autoimmune disease caused by eating Gluten. I had similar symptoms and going gluten free cleared the up. I can understand the whole needed to eat high fat food etc as in my case my body needed more nutrients and energy.0

Hi all,
Thanks for replying. I do have an autoimmune disorder - Raynauds and have a high Anti nuclear antibody count which means that I may have other autoimmune diseases. I need to get back the doctors....but I'm always worried they think I'm a hypochondriac because i visit so much..... the said IBS (dont they always)
I've started a sort of elimination diet and has worked well today - fingers crossed!0 -
IBS and gluten "problems" (coeliac and intolerance) seem to be frequently "confused" by doctors. Other food sensitivities along with gluten problems are not uncommon. If the current restrictions are making you feel better, I would limit the whole lot for at least 4-6 weeks (to start healing) and then introduce one serving of one of the possible triggers and see how you react in the following 48 hours (you may know it's "bad" much sooner than that - if the first bite or two make you immediately feel yucky - don't eat the rest of the serving).0
