Intermittent...binging?

I've heard somewhere that if you eat very high calories after a few low-calorie days, it's supposed to help you get through a plateau.
I feel as though this is not the case - I "binge" eat a little bit on the weekends (saturdays and sundays), but I end up gaining three pounds!! I am so inexplicably upset by this, I don't know how to compensate for this huge gain.
Please! Any advice?

Binging is a period of uncontrollable eating where you stuff in as much as you can as fast as you can. If you are doing that then you should look int why you would feel that need. Whether it be emotional, physical, dietary or what ever. Personally, I have to keep myself on the wagon, and little splurges always send me back to square one.0
