I am 37 and looking to loose approximatly 80 lbs. I am using weights to help firm and tone but I am worried about having too much loose and wrinkly skin that does not reshape and bounce back . What have others experienced and any suggestions to minimize effect .

Once your skin is damaged there is only so much it can repair itself......0

:drinker: Drink LOTS of Water, Moisturize, and be Consistent with the Strength Training. Don't be in a Hurry. The weight coming off slowly gives your skin time to heal. When you have reached your Goal, it may take your skin a bit longer to recover -- and it may not ever be "Perfect". Be patient.0

I think how long you were heavy may impact skin's elasticity. I was overweight/obese my entire adult life and I will never wear a bikini due to loose skin (my body looks a bit like a melted candle under my clothes). I do the best I can – stay hydrated, keep toning, etc. – but I have to accept that some of this probably won't ever go away. It isn't attractive but it is purely aesthetic, unlike the excess weight which could have killed me.0

What the others said - drink lots of water, use moisturizer, and keep up with your strength training. Aim to lose weight slowly, not quickly, as that can sometimes give your skin time to "catch up".
I have a friend who wears spandex shorts that are one size too small to keep her skin from jiggling/pulling as she works out, but I couldn't do that. Her logic is that skin is elastic, and if you pull on elastic a lot, it stretches out more. She's trying to keep the "elastic" from stretching. So, while it kind of makes sense, I'll stay in my comfy workout clothes.
Anyway, if you do get to goal weight and your skin is loose and bothers you, some insurance plans will cover all or part of the skin removal if you've lost a certain percentage of your weight and have maintained your goal weight for X amount of time.0
